Hospice care treats the person rather than the disease.
Hospice may be the right choice if you or your loved one has an illness with a prognosis of less than 6 months and have chosen to receive “palliative” as opposed to “curative” care. What this simply means is shifting the focusing from curing a disease to maximize the comfort, dignity and care of the individual. Palliative care consists of relief of pain and nausea, as well as psychological, social and spiritual support services.
Hospice care is family-centered care.
It involves the patient and the family in making decisions. Care is provided for the patient and family 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We’ll provide guidance, medical care, personal support and information. In addition to coordinating care with your doctor, we’ll work closely with you and your family – mindful that you’re in control of your care.

Insurance for Hospice Care
Medicare and Medicaid cover hospice care, including team visits, symptom-management medications and equipment. Most other plans cover hospice care. Ask your insurer for details.
